Confession + Renouncement of sins = Salvation
2 Samuel 12:13
Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” And Nathan said to David, “The LORD also has taken away your sin; you shall not die.
David is a great example of how we can be blinded by what we want (Bathsheba) and allow our desires to cause us to sin against God because we want what we want instead of what God wants.
When David was confronted with his sin he did not point the finger at something else, he did not make excuses. David confessed the wrong that he did and renounced that wrong. Therefore the LORD took away his sin and He SAVED David!
