Thank you for your thorough response! I’m struggling with “some curses befall us for no other reason than to show the glory of God.” I wasn’t aware that God would curse those who belong to Him. I know Paul had a tormentor, but that was to keep him humble and remind him not to tell the secrets he had seen in the heavenly realm. Can you share with me more about why God would curse us for His glory? Now I’m paranoid that jezebel is directing my questions, but it’s sincere on my part. Thank you for your patience with me!
Another question:
When the disciples were unable to cast out the spirit and Jesus said it was because of the littleness of their faith, it is followed by a parenthetical sentence that says (in some manuscripts), “This kind comes out only by prayer and fasting.” Jesus sovereignly delivered this man, but did He mean that otherwise they only come out by prayer and fasting by the victim, or by the DM?
