On your second point, I hope you are willing to allow me to dissent. You say there’s no difference between religion and spirituality. I disagree. Spirituality is one’s intutitve way of interacting with God and the spiritual world, whereas religion is someone else telling you how to interact with God and the spiritual world. Is one better than the other? No. They are both necessary, and properly balanced can become checks on one another. For example, a cult victim has strong religion. Most likely they were birthed and reared in the system and have no idea religious life can be any different. Where do they start to get the idea that their religion is wrong, or isn’t saying everything? Before Holy Spirit, it is their spirituality that informs them of the inbalance, and drives them to find balance. If spirituality and religion are the same thing, people like me don’t exist.
