I realised that without repentance, we’re just seeking Gods hand and not His face, which basically makes deliverance similar to witchcraft.

Without repentance as the base, deliverance ministry can even be dangerous to both deliverance minister and PRM. Even when praying for deliverance of something relatively small.
There’s also a big chance the benefits of the deliverance are only temporary.
Repentance makes the session all about restoring the relationship with the PRM and God, seeking Gods face first.
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.
This can not or should not be bypassed. The restoration of that relationship is also more important then the miracles of (physical) healing. Repentance places the right emphasis on the session.
